Week 9- divide
This week looking through the readings and videos it came to my attention how technology is a X factor in life. Without the means to improve technology it can be hard to make large advancements and vise versa when people have access to technology. It all sci go to become reality but not all have equal opportunity to it. This also made me wonder how far we truly have come, I asked myself if people are less ignorant now than before. The answer I came up with was no. I believe that people are more set on their ideas than ever because you can go online and find supporting evidence for anything these days. Whether it be some story a guy made up on Wikipedia or a YouTube video. Just as good ideas have gained momentum so have a lot of bad ones.
This is why I believe technology is important but not as important as people make it out to be in order to be successful. I believe what technology does best is opening peoples eyes to new ways of living and trying things. There is a lot to see and inspire on the internet and that is it’s’ biggest strength in my opinion. The biggest weakness of the internet in my opinion is that since there are so many ideas it easy to right off a lot of them and focus on what you already believe as the truth. People are thinking less for themselves and as a group more than ever before which is not good in my opinion.

Hi Jagjot, thanks for sharing! I agree with you! Technology is changing out life style and the majority of the change is not in a good way. The other day I travelled to Oregon and I started to think what people would do without Google maps. I mean, people travel everywhere since we exists. I guess you ask the locals or get lost until find the right way. Interesting to think about it, isn't?
